Is anyone presenting users with a browser-based 5250 session?
If so, how are you serving them up?
Where I work, we use Presto. As far as I can tell (I was not involved
with setup or implementation), we use their "out of the box"
functionality so that there is no additional development on our end
whatsoever (or at most a truly trivial amount). They evidently provide
a path for additional customization specifically for the browser
interface, but as I understand it, that is completely optional.
We also use Valence (as mentioned by Greg). But for that we are
working with consultants to develop a specific-to-browser UI, that is
not related to our green-screen code. I am not sure whether they have
something similar to Presto where you can just leave your existing
5250 applications as-is if you want.
