Can you modify the receiving program to log the message to a file? Driven by a data area value or similar?

I used to use one of the job switches (always switch #8 just as a standard) to turn a debug process on/off. It's easy to do a CHGJOB to flip it on/off as needed or set it on the SBMJOB.

Subject: How can I retrieve and display the messages in a SMGQ?

I am trying to debug a program or rather a process that is triggered by a
message being received in the MSGQ. The program loops waiting for messages
and then kicks into action when a message is received.

My problem is that the message is read and automagically removed from the
message queue.

I need to go back to the messages to see what the message was.

MSGQ's are not journaled like files, DTAQ, etc. so I have to find another
way.

Any suggestions?

TIA, Darryl Freinkel.
