Well, esteemed Rob ...

I suppose it's a question of ROI.

At what point does the effort of figuring out how to do fundamental, simple operations on the increasingly significant Unix-y side of our Janus-faced IBM i (OS/400 | PASE) environment using the long and clumsy chopsticks provided in CL exceed the time required to assimilate Unix once and for all in one's practice?

As we say on the Internet, "YMMV". If you decide to come over to the dark side :) I'm doing a session at COMMON POWERUp 2024, "Ask Dr. Unix".

Warmest regards, Jack
