Um, they show you how to do it, but you’ll note there is an admonition to use Navigator it at all possible.

That said, I do manually change many of the files manually, ie: DNS records, http configurations etc. because it’s faster and easier once you’ve learned the secret decoder ring tricks.

As stated in my message: I have not found an official menu or command to deal with automatic startup settings for host servers compared to "normal" servers like telnet or ftp.

In the end, it's a PF, so you can use system provided ways to edit values. Changing the autostart attributes on "normal" servers via their menus and screens also change entries in this table, so I assert, it's safe to do so by hand.

Doing some more research, I found that even IBM recommends to edit the table by hand.
