Having gained some experience on both MVS and OS/400 (and their respective
successors) over the last few years, the nicest thing I can say about MVS
is: handling it feels comparatively clumsy.
It "just grew" in an era when nobody knew what computing could do or how it
should work.
OTOH IBM i was an example of "family planning".
IBM i is certainly easier to use.
But z/OS is more fully equipped in many ways.
