I feel what you mean, so to say. :-)

Having gained some experience on both MVS and OS/400 (and their respective successors) over the last few years, the nicest thing I can say about MVS is: handling it feels comparatively clumsy. Since I want to stay polite and not rant, fill in the gaps with your imagination. ;-)
