(back from vacation)
James,
I often have to collect log files while in use to send to IBM.
Like Jim suggested I find that using qsHell to copy them works like a
charm. Basically it's the cp command in qsHell. cp doesn't care about
locks.

I've got an automated process using HTTPAPI to access a web service, and
I've got the master CL program for that automated process rigged to, in

Unfortunately, that CPY command is throwing a CPFA09E ("Object in use")
error.

Usually, my complaint about IFS objects is that it's difficult or
impossible to enforce locks on them. Now, it seems I have the opposite
problem. Any suggestions on what can be done about it?
