Hello,

Am 06.06.2023 um 21:29 schrieb gio.cot via MIDRANGE-L <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>:

I'm try to connect via SFTP to a supplier's server , but I receive the error "Host key verification failed";

The supplier told me that "..doing connection tests with your user , the problem described does not occur, there are no keys activated on the server side .."

I tryed also to run "ssh-keygen -R [hostname|IP address]" , did not solved the problem

[hostname|IP address] must match the same name you have been when actually connecting. And you need to run that command as the user you normally use to connect. I assume you're running a batch job?

If in doubt, you can delete the user's .ssh/known_hosts but then you'll be asked to save the fingerprint in the user's .ssh/known_hosts again. That's not a big deal if you only have one ssh/sftp/scp connection running with that user.

:wq! PoC
