When debugging ssh setup, I use -vvv switch to get the most info I can.
The extra verbosity spewed some useful messages after I connected with a
password even though I was trying to connect public key authentication.
Struck me as an odd sequence, but maybe it needs to set up the
authenticated connection before providing the later messages.
