Actually in his case the NFS server would be on Windows or Linux and the MOUNT command is used to mount the NFS file shares.

I located some of my old NFS notes and created a github hot-to. Feel free to contribute any changes if it works for you.

You just need to run strnfssvr *all and issue the proper mount command, with TYPE(*NFS).

If you want to save resources, you can also do some research which of the nfs servers are necessary on IBM i for a pure client. I know from other OS that at least *RPC, and *BIO is mandatory.
