I have opened a case with IBM for the following... but I thought I would ask the group.
I have an application running in Apache (CNX Valence)... I wish to open a PDF file from within the application. This works fine if the file resides in an IFS directory. However, I would like to store the PDF files in a directory on our windows server instead.
So I setup the following:
The Windows network share: //totalbizsvr2/Compliance
On the IBM i : MKDIR '/QNTC/totalbizsvr2/compliance'
I can see the files in the server directory using WRKLNK on the green screen
In the Apache config, I've added the following directives:
# Compliance Files on TOTALBIZSVR2 alias
Alias /compliance /QNTC/totalbizsvr2/compliance
<Directory /QNTC/totalbizsvr2/compliance>
Order Allow,Deny
allow from all
</Directory>
When I attempt to access a PDF file in the directory from Apache instance, I receive:
HTTP 403: Forbidden - by rule
You do not have permission to access /compliance/templates/Test.pdf on this server.
If I move the same PDF to an IFS directory and add the corresponding Apache directive, everything works as expected.
Is there something with QNTC that disallows access from Apache? Is there another config option I'm missing?
