Tom, any spooled file with SAV status has already printed, "somewhere".
if the spooled file is in HLD status then it, probably, has not printed and can be released. RLSSPLF

it seems like you have all the details in your RPG program since you say you have changed the spooled file. keep the parms and RLSSPLF

Bryan

F-1 from spooled file screen:
o SAV (Saved) The file has been written and then saved. This
file will remain saved until it is released.

I have a SAVed spoolfile that I can change the USRDFNDTA attributes in my RPG program. Once I change the usrdfndta, I need to release the spoolfile for processing (it's on an OUTQ that redirects to a PC which processes the spoolfile prior to printing).

My question is: once the spoolfile is in a SAV state, how do I release it programmatically so that it reprocesses?

Thanks
