Of course. I can reach the other systems easily via secured Telnet from
a terminal emulator running on my desktop. An emulator for which I was
on the development team. I've been doing that routinely for years.
Probably over a decade.
What I've never done is attempt to reach one Midrange box from another,
via secured Telnet. Because up until recently, I haven't had that
capability unless from one customer box to another, and because up until
this week, I've never had a reason to do so.
