Jay,

you should use rand() i believe
so the random is calculated by some unique feature of the machine
AND the current timestamp so it always comes out unique.

if i do values rand(1000000) I get the same number everytime ... in strsql.
if I page up or down that number changes randomly...
How can I retrieve a random number anytime I need one?
