You can try using FTP scripting, change your TCP attributes :

CHGTCPA TCPRCVBUF(1024000) TCPSNDBUF(1024000)

 and make your math uploading a 1GB file.

If you just want to check Internet Speed you can use the Python tool SpeedTest from PASE:
