My mom thinks every alert on her pixel is from Facebook... News, email,
messages, etc. A lot of it is, but not when I send her a text.

We're scared to put my folks on the newer pixels that don't have buttons on
them and you swipe/gesture for everything. And my dad complains of weird
"orange screens" that pop up all the time. I find a lot of risque pics on
his phone when I go to clean it up that he gets when he downloads his
gambling games somehow... hah.. he's 82!

When I retire, I will be getting a clamshell for sure.

And again, back on topic... you're rare. Next time you're out, at work, in
a group.. just look at everyone buried in their phones. Even driving. And
they can't look at email alerts? Oh well, don't let your license keys
expire! :)

And my father (who *does* have a smartphone) hasn't a clue how to access
his email (if he gets any, which isn't often, I give it to him in
hardcopy form), and rarely notices texts, either.
