To get the hardware you are using:
WRKHDWRSC *PRC
You'll see something like:
Opt Resource Type-model Status Text
CEC01 8286-41A Operational Main Card Enclosure
PN02 2B08 Operational System Control Panel
Put a "7" on the first entry the CEC01, and press enter. You'll see everything you need there: (serial numbers changed to protect guilty)
Resource name . . . . . . . : CEC01
Text . . . . . . . . . . . . : Main Card Enclosure
Type-model . . . . . . . . . : 8286-41A
Serial number . . . . . . . : 99-ABCEDF
Part number . . . . . . . . :
Processor feature code . . . : EPXK

Subject How to know which online documentation to use
I am lost in the IBM online documentation trying to figure out where to find
only the documentation for our system.
I know the OS version: V7R3M0
I don't know the exact hardware. Is there a way to find that via a command
or similar?
Currently, I am looking to find the SQL documentation that applies only to
our system. There is so much out there that I find that doesn't apply, so
it would be great to know how to go directly to that which applies only to
our system.
Same for any/all documentation also.
Thanks,
Jeremy
