Hi Vern,

We need to include graphics and overlays in the document which is not
easily done with externally defined printer files.

We do use infoprint designer but this product is end of life a long time
ago.

Many other solutions carry a price tag that is out of our budget.

What we want can be generated relatively simply with HTML and all we need
to do is convert that to a PDF saved in the IFS to achieve our goal.

Cheers

Don

Hi Don

I have to ask why you don't use something like CPYSPLF, where you can
directly make a PDF that way. No extra steps.

We have a number of reports that are quite heavily formatted.

A lot have been converted to Excel output which users like.

But we have a few where it would be much easier to generate a html
document and then generate a pdf from that that can then be emailed.

My Google skills are not helping today - well I can find lots of hits
but
not being my area os expertise it is all a bit confusing.

We do use PHP and I have also looked for examples but again nothing
seems
clear.

Is anyone actually doing this currently ?

Would appreciate any suggestions or examples.

Thank you

Don
