oops, it gets cut off at 8 characters. going to see what is said in a PMR
we use 10 long userID all over the environemnt

Dropping the 9 worked.

Wow! I suggest that the A in AIX is for "ancient". ;-)

... and I learned how to create and delete a user in AIX today!
