You know how you order PTFs for IBM i and if there are special ones for cards or whatever you just blissfully know that when you apply the PTF's delayed it's all done? Well, VIOS is different. After you do a VIOS upgrade, or maybe even periodically in between upgrades, you should check for fixes by following the procedure outlined at:
https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/microcode-discovery-service-mds-vios

In the past when it found the fixes I would click on them and it would go out to Fix Central and allow me to download them.
Now Fix Central is giving me a funky error:
No results found
Power I\/O Firmware, Device Firmware
No results found
No fixes were found that address the specified value "1533977033_20211214193641_GRP".

I opened up a case. Apparently they modified it now that when you get that error you now have to enter an obscure code in a box off to the right called "Product Selector". At this time the code is ESNK. Somehow this stands for Power I/O Firmware. Don't be surprised if you run it again, get the same error and the box is prefilled in with that code. You still have to click on the Submit button in that box.

Personally I would think that the link provided by the mds tool should automatically fill in any obscure codes required. I'm guessing they tried but picked the wrong subset of the code. I'm basing this guess by the error message above: Power I\/O Firmware, Device Firmware
As I stated in the case when they were playing badminton with me as to whose problem at IBM this was "If IBM cannot figure this out how is a customer supposed to?"

BTW: If I go to the case screen and select "All Cases I own", which show open and closed, my count is at 305. Company wide, it's 342. Granted some are SNDSRVRQS ACTION(*TEST) done once a quarter on each of our 15 lpars.
