Are you running that natively on the i?
Any chance of running it somewhere you have access to a debugger? Because
that error is pretty clear. NoneType means that whatever method you used to
create the connection to the DB returned None instead of the connection
object, the program did not check for that and therefore tried to use
attributes that don't exist.
