We do. We have two power 8's that are single core and we use less than 10% CPU. They are dedicated to customer transaction processing. They are located in CA and TX.

Then we have our main IBM i at corp that runs all the back office stuff. It is also a single core power 9 system. Finally in the TX location is another power 9 that is the mirror of the corp one.

All 4 are only single core systems. Well they have more than one core but IBMi is only licensed for 1 core. And they run circles around our multi server / multi core / dual CPU SQL and IIS server that run other applications.
