Just curious if this is deprecated due to missing PTF's (Unlikely in your
environment) or if IBM is not updating it like SEU as an example ?

There is also some difference in how things work between STRSQL and Run
SQL Scripts.
Scott even includes some sample code if you go into Run SQL Scripts and
look up examples for:
