Are you referring to using your SSH user profile in a 5250 session and doing an interactive SSH connection e.g. STRQSH CMD('/QOpenSys/bin/sftp -vvv -b YOURSFTPSCRIPT.txt -o IdentityFile=~/.ssh/id_rsa yada yada')

Uh, no, I'm referring to 5250 emulation using SSH as the transport mechanism, rather than Telnet or Telnet-over-SSL/TLS. About which Herr Schindler has already given an answer (thanks, Patrik).

I use SSH and SFT with some regularity to communicate with cloud Linux boxes, but I have precisely zero experience using SSH to connect to an IBM Midrange box.

On the other hand, I have extensive experience *using* Secured TN5250 (our own emulator supports it, after all), and a small amount of (most likely very out-of-date) experience setting up the server.
