Semeru is the unfortunate name they chose to have a "named" build of the
Java JRE/JDK. In the past you might recall we could download IBM built
JRE's to use with ACS or the like, but they were kinda hidden in developer
sites. Semeru is the official way to obtain a Java runtime not constrained
by Oracle. I use them with ACS and other Java dependent programs.
It makes no sense for Semeru binaries to be available for IBM i, since IBM
i gets them as LICPGMs.

I was looking at the JDK lifecycle page at:

I failed to see Java 11 (or higher). So I clicked on the Semeru link
which goes to:
https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/semeru-runtimes-support#lifecycle
These list those higher versions but none of them list IBM i as a
supported platform.

I know Java 11 runs on 7.4 & 7.5 but I fail to see any overlap of IBM i
and JDK 11 at these sites.

Also, based on the Java Semeru 11 hitting EOS 2024 I put out an idea to
support Java 17 on IBM i
