LOL, what VxRx is the end of the "stone knives and bearskins"? I have to remember that phrase.

If you're on stone knives and bearskins for the version of your OS you can try:
https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/how-list-ibm-i-commands-had-their-defaults-changed

But neither method shows what the defaults were.

Finding that they were changed from defaults may be enough of a flag to research into the manuals for the documented defaults. Or the online help as others have suggested. Or the audit journals.

Have you just thought about using the last example at:
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.5?topic=services-object-statistics-table-function
The example stating "Find any CL commands that have had their parameter defaults changed."?

Something I've been wondering for a long time.. are command defaults stored anywhere in a table... or are they actually part of the command itself?

Even if it's just if a user uses CHGCMDDFT to change it and it's only stored then, that may be useful.

If they are stored in the command object.. I suppose there's no way to get the defaults without processing the command with a CL... maybe dumping the object? Man, I haven't done that forever. :)
