quite a while ago, I stumbled across this Reddit post:

This inspired me to try to run the server on a 8203-E4A running 7.2. Server JAR can be downloaded here:
https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download/server
I couldn't get it to run. I had installed Java up to 8 on 7.2, but the error message stays consistent, hinting to a defective JAR file. (I can't find my notes with the actual error output.) The very same file runs perfectly fine on Linux.
Has anybody tried this but me?
