Re: Gracefully end a hosted LPAR

for my i hosting i LPAR

I created a CL program that:
creates a DDMF then uses that DDMF to SBMRMTCMD to power down then vary off the NWSD

to power on I use Scott's UnixCMD https://www.scottklement.com/unixcmd/
and run the HMC command "chsysstate" to power it on.

Curiously with hosted Linux or AIX when you do VRYCFG *OFF on the NWSD that has Power Control set to yes, AND if the partition is set to have power control enabled in the profile, a kind shutdown is issued to the partition.

This support does not exist for IBM i hosted partitions.
