Allow me to take a different tack here - we have used the QShell ldapsearch command to get name and email address stuff from our Active Directory. Very easy to redirect output to an IFS file, then copy to a physical file.

Information here - https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.4?topic=reference-command-line-utilities

For me, I think there is a lot to know about structure of LDAP, to make the best use of either the APIs or these commands. But they are available, which is very helpful when needed.

Cheers
Vern

Has anyone utilized this or can point me to any documentation on the
various APIs and their use?

Thank you,

Doug
