I don't see any reference to this at the link provided BUT with a subscription term I would expect that the keys provided will then expire at the end of that term. Otherwise I wouldn't see any reason that IBM would add this complication to the process. Previous to this you would acquire the software (Pay a one time charge) and then add SWMA (add an annual charge, or purchase 3 or 5 years in advance.) By combining the two you get the same thing, rather like an extended ITL. And ITL keys come with expiration dates.

But that's just me reading between the lines.
