Perhaps that's all the info they need.

How about doing a WRKJVMJOB, going through all the active jobs, and applying option 5?

Or going into QSHell, and doing a "java -version"?

Or if you have a Tomcat server running on the box, and the "manager" webapp context is available, the Java version in use is shown at the bottom.
