There's a basic problem here - SRCSEQ and SRCDAT are ZONED, not PACKED - so DEC(6,2) will fail - you need the NUM(6,2) function - or even at more recent versions of the OS, you might be able to just use the SUBSTR - there are times when SQL on IBM i now just converts behind the scenes.
