I am not commenting on whether this used to be allowed, or whether it
should be allowed. I don't have that answer without doing some research.
I would like to point out an IBM solution that can be helpful for making
trigger modifications in a production environment. You can let your
environment gradually shift from using the old trigger to a new trigger
through the use of a QAQQINI option.

It was 3+ years ago? that i wrote a trigger pgm(s) to a process.
It was a pita creating/removing triggers because the file was always inuse.
Then i found you can enable/disable existing triggers while the file wasin use.
At least i put some comments in a couple programs to that effect -
** You CANNOT Add or Remove triggers WHILE the file is in use **
** You may Disable or Enable triggers WHILE the file is in use ** Andrecently i've found i CANT enable/disable triggers while the file is in use.
Question: Am i losing it or did IBM change something?
