This whole business with Google locking out email clients reminds me of the old chestnut about why dogs lick their privates.

It also makes me glad that my *personal* email (JHHL@xxxxxxxxx) is *not* through GMail. Even if I'm no fan of the product Toast *does* use (SmarterMail).

And glad that we never did get around to changing our own programmatically-generated outgoing email to relay through GMail.
