Last I heard from IBM you could still trade some of your entitlements for a discount on RDi.

Or of course one could use VS code with the IBM i plug-in for free.

There isn't a deal where you could transfer your 5103 licenses into Rational Developer for i, is there?
Maybe someone else there made that decision for you Jerry and are blaming the provider?
Or maybe your provider cannot comprehend why anyone wouldn't take that deal?

Hmm, I wonder if this means next time we do an Infor upgrade we could use 80 simultaneous jobs doing compiles? Sure sounds like it. At least legally. Performance is another matter.

I am not a trading partner and my boss does the purchasing here, but in my mind did that really answer your question? IOW is 5770-WDS licensed by machine or by a number of users?

If I remember fine my eConfig sessions, WDS options (ADTS, heritage
compilers, ILE compilers), are, each one, licensed by a number of active
at a time users for the entire server regardless the partitions.

WRKLICINF
5770WDS option 5103 is the application development toolset. Which is PDM, SEU, SDA, etc

We're licensed for 80. Not that there's a snowball's chance ... we'll ever hit that.
