DSPSYSVAL QCONSOLE - DSP01
DSPDEVD DSP01
Device type . . . . . . . . . . . : 3179
Device model . . . . . . . . . . . : 2
All my other device descriptions are 3477 FC
From what I found, 3179 model 2 only supports 24x80.
So, can I change QCONSONLE to a different device which type supports 27x132
I found this link.

You're confused between your setting in iACS and the setting on the display device itself on the system console.
DSPSYSVAL QCONSOLE
DSPDEVD (value from above)
Does the following support more than 80 characters?
Device type . . . . . . . . . . . : 3179
Device model . . . . . . . . . . . : 2
Normally if you change your device setting and reconnect it will trash the existing session and rebuild it. However I am reading there are some things which can stop that from working. Console take over can be one of them. I'll never disable that though. When I have the time I'll figure out how to get that to work.

CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe.
When working with a 5250 emulator using port 2300 of the HMC IC,
Spoofiles only display 80 wide, even though the config shows 27x132.
Why is this?
Can this be fixed?
Very cumbersome to use, must constantly F19=Left F20=Right to view the entire spoolfile.
Thank You
