Hi everyone
We are on V7r3
This is the command that we use
CHGVAR VAR(&CMD) VALUE('sed -e ''s/\" \"//g'' ' +
*BCAT &FILE2 *BCAT '| sed -e +
''s/|\./|0\./g'' | sed -e ''s# *|#|#g'' +
| tr -d ''\r'' > +
/temp/DHLTEMP.work1')
STRQSH CMD(&CMD)

This inserts a leading 0, before the decimal point AND removes trailing spaces on the file - to create /temp/DHLTEMP.work1 in the ifs
This ifs file is then copied to the correctly named file name

These procedures were obtained from different web sites for each procedure
This has been working for almost one month - except this past Sunday
In this instance, the process dropped almost half of the records - but original the file was larger than normal

And - to make matters worse - when we rerun this process - using the same original file, the number of records that are created is different each time
Hence my question - Does QSHELL sed have a limitation on the file size
As always - all responses gratefully accepted
