Our settings are:

TCP receive buffer size . . . . 2097152 512-8388608, *SAME, *DFT
TCP send buffer size . . . . . . 2097152 512-8388608, *SAME, *DFT

Just raise them to the max. No harm done.

Other settings?

None which would make a difference.

Make sure that the NICs and Switchports have agreed on a common duplex setting. Today, *AUTO is the setting being almost universally applicable.
