Great! By the way, if you have (or create) a schema for the expected XML you can also test the XML against that using XMLVALIDATE to ensure that the XML is not only well-formed but also conforms to spec.

...you can do that with GET_XML_FILE, something like this...

xmlparse(document get_xml_file('path/file/....xml'))
