What linux OS are you using, possibly any recent LINUX patching may have
impacted it. How long had it worked previously.

With jdbc you can set server trace properties that enable debug on the
host server job. Is that possible with an odbc connection?

Yes, it is.

In the end, I get a memory dump with an uneven aligned pointer being the
culprit. See https://leela.pocnet.net/~poc/memdump.pdf

This was the moment that I remembered to have deinstalled the
Cryptographic Service provider, and Digital Certificate Manager a while
ago: Since there's no mentionable crypto support from a modern PoV, I could
spare the space. — Reinstalled, re-IPLed, error stays the same.

Next, I was IPLing in manual mode, setting back the date to one Month ago
— where all the stuff was most definitely working. Error stays the same.

Thanks to all who replied. Any further ideas?

No Jack, this isn't the answer. :-P Software which was working before in a
mostly confined environment rarely stops working. And if it does, there
must me a deductible reason for it. :-)
