We may be able to help you better if you tell us the final use of the file
in windows.
You can set up a web server in the i, and the user can see the PDF in his
browser, or you can email the PDF or you can FTP to the windows.
Also you can share a directory, and mount it in the windows. You can also
install sshfs in windows and mount the directory (I have tried that in
Linux, works great).

I have looked at using QNTC for this, but it looks like it won't work. I
know this can be done, but am not sure of the specifics.

I have an RPG program that creates a spool file. The RPG is called using a
CL. The RPG creates a PDF of the spool file, and stores it on the IFS.

I want to be able to copy that PDF to a folder on a windows server using
the CL. This process will run interactively at first, but could run in
batch down the road. The process may also have to run in the S36
environment too.

We are on V7R3 and are fairly current on PTFs.

I have tried multiple times using QNTC and it seems I am getting an
authority message. From reading other's posts, it appears QNTC does not
handle mixed case passwords, which we use and would need I can connect to
this folder using windows explorer, and my IBM i user ID and password, so
I believe my authority is set correctly.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this to work? I remember at a
prior job, our iSeries had a few commands in the startup program that
mapped the windows folders and they could be accessed via iSeries jobs,
but I don't remember the specifics.

Thank you,

Doug
