Never heard of most of what Mr. Steinmetz described, but I've certainly written plenty of stuff to email PDFs (in many cases, using nothing beyond AFP and MSF. If I can do it, it can't be rocket science.

You could also FTP the PDF to someplace the user *is* allowed to access, I suppose.
