When you set up WinSCP connection there is the ability to use the "advanced"
button.

In there you can put some commands to run upon connection, one I always put
in there is:
SITE NAMEFMT 0 (that's a zero)

That way when a save file named mysavf.savf gets pushed over it winds up in
a save file as opposed to a table/physical file.

I think it defaults to binary.

Justin:

Have not been following this discussion, so excuse the basic questions

- What is the full path to the file you're trying to transfer?
- What is the command line you are issuing to WinSCP?

PS the gurus use CygWin scp.

I'm afraid I spoke too soon. How can I tell if this is a server
problem or a client problem (WinSCP.com)?

This command: get filename.savf
Gives:
Can't get attributes of file 'filename.savf'
Could not retrieve directory listing
Specified directory does not exist or cannot be accessed.
Working directory not changed.
