Shh! I still like the old navigator. I use it for management central functions and PTF cleanup.

I order the PTF via SNDPTFORD and select to send later. Then in batch, SNDSRVRQS. Group one night and All others (SF99721) the next night.

Then I use the green screen option to load the package and set to apply at next IPL.

Like your idea of applying all perm before we start but we do this monthly, not quarterly. Our PCI compliance request us to install any security patches within 30 days of manufacture release. What a PAIN!

Is that the old Navigator you were using?

I think a command it may be using is UPDPTFINF. I use that quarterly, along with DLTPTF (not to be confused with RMVPTF). I also set PTF's to be applied permanently upon the next IPL before I start ordering the next round. I figure if they ran for a quarter they're good. You have to be a little cautious with older versions of Domino and applying PTF's permanently. And do not apply and test PTF's from IBM permanently.
