J, I think it's very clear how to get ACS - google for access client solutions and you'll be right close. If someone told you it's hard to find it, they lied to you.

There's an installer for Mac in the contents of the ZIP file.

As to connecting, if you have the IP address you are there.

I'm not entirely clear on how one gets ACS, these days. And will it run on a Mac? And (here's the important part) how much trouble is it to set up a connection to any arbitrary customer box?
