FWIW
We run the following as part of our daily (nightly actually) save

SAV DEV('/QSYS.LIB/TAP01.DEVD') OBJ(('/*' *INCLUDE) ('/QSYS.LIB' *OMIT)
('/QDLS' *OMIT) ('/NFS_MOUNT1' *OMIT) ('/NFS_MOUNT2' *OMIT) ('/NFS_MOUNT3'
*OMIT)) SAVACT(*YES) OUTPUT(*NONE) ENDOPT(*LEAVE) UPDHST(*YES) CLEAR(*ALL)
DTACPR(*YES)

This theoretically save the entire IFS (Which we do not use extensively )

First you need to be clear about Folders vs IFS. Folders as seen in
WRKFLR are backed up with SAVDLO. IFS Files and directories are backed
up with the SAV command.

I thought when doing a SAV, that all IFS files/folders would be saved. I
have not done this for many years and so yesterday I was trying to do a
IFS
backup, I found that SAV did not allow me to backup the folders.

Perhaps I need to play with the command more.

I want to backup some folders only and not system folders.

Is there a simple way to backup the IFS user folders?

TIA, Darryl Freinkel.
