The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Insert into mylib.mytable ( field1, field2) select field5, field6 from table
(mylib.table2) where status = 'active';
Works well, but I need to insert the current date into the result table,
something like:
Insert into mylib.mytable ( currdate, field1, field2) select field5, field6
from table (mylib.table2) where status = 'active';
What I don't know how to do is grab the current date and stuff it in there.
There's no question in my mind it can be done but I am failing at internet
queries to find a method.
