Works great use it frequently.

Also have an entire system where users ALL get a signon screen from one subsystem. In the routing step for that subsystem it queries bits of profile etc and uses TFRJOB to send them to the correct subsystem. They never know. If that subsystem isn't available it throws up a 'sorry' message or if authority is high enough tosses them to QCTL. (Technically 'the controlling subsystem' from QCTLSBSD)

Have you looked at TFRJOB? Transfer job? You name a job queue, and, of course, those are connected to subsystems.

In over 30 years (YIKES!) I've never used it - but it's there.

Afternoon Everyone,

The Scenario I have in mind here is I want to be able to bring down QINTER,
but still be able to Access the iSeries from A Specific Client Access
Workstation.

So in effect this workstation would get redirected to QCTL instead of
QINTER.

I am running V5R4 can one of you advise how I would achieve this please.

Thanks
Chris
