...yeah, they were bought out by the dreaded LogMeIn a few years back unfortunately. I used to use Keepass, and I liked it, but with a family subscription to Lastpass, it's easier for me to manage and share passwords, and the barrier to entry is lower for my non-techy relations. The video is almost comically old and much of it is of course out-of-date, but Steve Gibson does a pretty good job of explaining why you should trust Lastpass, for the sceptical. I imagine much of it applies to the alternatives. The SN podcast is worth a listen every week in any case, it's packed with nuggets of interesting security and tech related stuff.

LastPass recently neutered their free product (now you have to choose
between desktop or mobile access, rather than both included), so a lot of
folks are switching to alternatives. Bitwarden is one of the more popular
and highly rated options.

I didn't watch the video, so I can't say whether I agree with any of the
other content. I happen to use KeePass myself, but will probably try
Bitwarden "Real Soon Now" (to see if I can get my wife to use it).
