That explains it.

"Run the same" opens a new tab for me (but I use tabs). I sent it to the
boss (who doesn't use tabs). I'm waiting for a response.

Thanks

I must be missing something. I don't have this on a 5250 session:
File => Same profile

You're talking dropping down the File menu in 5250 and then "Same
profile"?

Yes. "Same profile" is my translation from German "Gleiches Profil" to
English. Maybe this is named differently in english locale? Sorry for the
confusion!

See https://leela.pocnet.net/~poc/menu.png for a screen shot. The menu
item position should be the same, independent of language.

maybe add:
Select CASE WHEN DECRYPT_CHAR(Password_Encryption, 'Budweiser#01') =
'VALID'
THEN 'VALID' ELSE 'INVALID' END
from Security_table
where Security_id = 'ROB'

I'm a bit confused here:

If the user and password are for system users, why not simply ask the OS
whether the user-ID and password are valid?

Is this, rather, for, say, users of some web site or portal, unknown to
the OS?
